Remember when I was going to write break-up fic and this was the ending I had planned… D:

‘Can we … can we try again?’ Blaine asked, his voice almost a whisper.

‘No. You hurt me, and I have to know I can trust you not to.’

The look on Blaine’s face was pleading, and Kurt held up his hand before he could say anything else.

‘Nothing you say right now is going to make me change my mind. We have to go back to the start. Friends.’

‘I can’t lose you, Kurt. I can’t. I love you, and I’ll wait.’

Blaine reached over to grab Kurt’s hand across the table, and somehow that tiny gesture meant more than anything else had.
